Collector, Businessman. Inventory of military oil paintings collected by Alexander McCook Craighead and bequested to the U.S. Military Academy Museum; scrapbook of "Citizens Military Training Camp - business and professional company - August 1940"; Scrapbook of "American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps, 1921-1922", map of Paris, 1943; personal papers; "Economic Cooperation Administration - papers"; correspondence; printed matter; articles, clippings, and memorabilia. The Craighead Military History Collection includes: a journal of a male orderly assigned to a hospital in France, 1914-1918, four note books on small arms compiled by Sgt. Armourer of the R.A.F., papers of F.J.H. Brich, Royal Artillery (fl, 1882-1885), printed material on artillery and bombs of World War II vintage, Craighead's application to the Society for Army and Historical Research. A sketchbook by an "aristocratic French lady", ca. 1914, two books of French military music and a frieze of a carnival form the humanistic part of this collection. Also included is a list of acquaintances and their doings compiled by Annie A. Gould while she was serving as a missionary in China, 1897-1900.
